The overspeeding bus (Ko 1 Kha 2948) heading for Gaighat from Dharan lost control while attempting to overtake another bus, according to the District Police Office (DPO), Saptari. [break]
The bus conductor, Bal Bahadur Rokka, 20, of Triyuga municipality in Udayapur district, died on the spot in the accident, said Kush Bahadur Thapa, police inspector at DPO. "Rokka´s dead body has been handed over to his family members after an autospy in Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital," said Thapa.
Thapa further informed that of the injured passengers, condition of two is critical. “The critically injured, Jitendra Narayan Chaudhary and Manmaya Bhujal of Sunsari are undergoing treatment at Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar.” he added.
