The accident took place when the ambulance (Sa. 1 Cha. 693) heading towards Biratnagar from Siraha met with an accident on the road after the driver lost control. [break]
The ambulance was carrying a patient to Biratnagar. Pulakit Chaudhary, 65, was killed and the patient Shiva Kumar Mandal, 25, of Kabilasha, Siraha was critically injured.
The injured Mandal has been taken to Nobel Hospital Biratnagar for further treatment, said the District Police Office.
Police have arrested ambulance driver Ritesh Tamang, 32 of Lalpur-6, Siraha for further investigation.
