The incident took place when he accidentally touched the electric wires in course of constructing welcome gate of the Mahasamiti meeting of the Nepali Congress.[break]
Kandel died while undergoing treatment at Ramnagar Community Hospital at Ramnagar-1. Similarly, Kamal Parajuli, 38, and Prithvi Raj Chaudhary, 27, of Bhutaha, were injured in the incident.
They have been sent to Butwal for further treatment, according to the District Police Office, Nawalparasi.
