Anurupa Khadka, 60, of Kaskikot-1 died when the bus with registration plate Ga 1 Kha 3123 slipped on Sarangkot´s slopes while en route for Pokhara city.
Injured passengers, most of who are women and children, are being treated in Western Regional and Manipal Teaching Hospital. A few remain in a critical condition.
According to police, the accident occurred as the bus was exceeding it´s capacity. Almost 70 passengers were on board at the time.
The police have taken the driver into custody.
