Chaudhary has been accused of making an attempt to traffick four Nepali women to the Gulf nation of Kuwait on the pretext of finding them a lucrative job. He had earlier taken them to Indian capital of New Delhi via Rupaidiya transit point at the Nepal-India border.

With a plan to take them to Kuwait via Sri Lanka, he is accused of keeping them hostage in Delhi for fifteen days. The victims were subjected to mental and physical tortures when they were kept in hostage.

The women, however, managed to flee from there and made it to the Indian Police from where they were rescued by the Peace Rehabilitation Center and subsequently brought to Nepal.

The Kathmandu District Court has already remanded Chaudhari to judicial custody allowing additional time for police to carry out an investigation into the case. A case is being filed against the arrested person under Human Trafficking and Smuggling Act 2064 BS, said the Bureau.
