Lama took Rs 95,000 from the victim and took the victim to Kuwait on a visit visa on October 5, 2023. Police claim that Lama's wife, residing in Kuwait, received the victim and took the victim to a Kuwaiti citizen's house for 1,150 Kuwaiti dinars.

Even the documents that Lama showed at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and at the Kuwait airport were fake and different, as reported by the police.

According to the police, preliminary investigations revealed that the Kuwaiti nationals held the victims hostage, exploited domestic workers without payment, and subjected the victims to sexual and severe labor exploitation.
