Oli tells president govt's move against NA unacceptable

KATHMANDU, April 20: Senior leader of CPN-UML, K P Sharma Oli has said that the government´s move to seek clarification from the Nepal Army (NA) is unacceptable to his party.



Blaming the Maoist leadership for taking such a decision without prior understanding or discussions with the other political parties, he said, "The defense ministry does not have the right to do whatever it feels likes with the NA."

He said so after his meeting with President Dr Ram Baran Yadav late Monday.


He blamed the Maoists for not consulting with the President before sending the letter to the NA.


Stating that since the peace process was on, Oli said the government cannot do what it likes and act in whichever manner it wants.


He further criticized the government and said, "The government has been a failure in every area." He added instead of addressing the main issues, the government is now engaged in an ego tussle with the NA.
