KATHMANDU, Jan 14: The Office of the Company Registrar has started providing SMS service to all the registered companies. According to the officials of the Company Registrar, the SMS service will help the office to accept modern technology to provide services to registered companies.
“We received various complaints from people as they could not receive the information on time and there was a hassle to check the information on website time and again, so we came up with the SMS service for all the registered companies,” said Santosh Kumar Dahal, deputy registrar at the Office of the Company Registrar, “But to get the SMS service the company has to provide their own number and update their number in case they have changed their number, to get information in SMS later.”

The SMS service will carry information about new rules and regulations of the Registrar office, taxes that need to be paid by the concerned companies, new development, and information on renewal of the companies and various information from the Registrar office to concerned companies.
The Registrar office also plans to send information via email to companies in the future and for that the companies must provide their own email address to the office.
“SMS service is our first initiation and it is still in test period and if there is a good response from the people, we will launch other services like this,” said Dahal, “Our other motive of providing SMS service is to reach our information to all our registered companies as some companies outsource the work related to the Registrar office and may not receive needed information on time.”
