NA launches probe against 27 over irregularities in recruitment process


The Directorate of Public Relations and Information (DPRI) of the Nepal Army has launched an investigation against 27 including 4 incumbent army personnel over alleged irregularities in the process of recruiting army personnel. 

The DPRI had announced vacancies for 5 thousand 8 hundred military positions from its 40 recruitment centers across the country on August 4.

Around 40 students injured as roof of private school collapsed in capital

Around 40 students sustained injuries when the roof of a private school caved in at Tarakeswor municipality in the capital on Wednesday.

The incident took place at Bidhyakunja Secondary School when the students were attending their classes in the afternoon.

One shot dead in Janakpur


One person has been shot dead in Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan city on Wednesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Manoj Shah, according to Superintendent of Police Shekhar Khanal.

British police find 39 bodies in a truck container

British police found the bodies of 39 people inside a truck container believed to have come from Bulgaria at an industrial estate to the east of London on Wednesday.

The discovery was made in the early hours after emergency services were alerted to people in the container, on a gritty industrial site in Grays, about 20 miles from central London.
