BUTWAL, Feb 15: The last meeting of the incumbent central committee of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) that stretched till 11pm on Sunday approved the final list of party representatives, who are going to elect the new leadership in the eighth national convention of the party that is beginning here on Monday.
Head of the party’s publicity department Ishwar Pokharel told myrepublica.com that the number now stands at 1,816. Earlier in the day, a UML statement had said the number was 1,811.

Pokharel said the number was increased by nine after adjusting the number of party representatives from Kathmandu. The meeting also removed names of two representatives, making the final tally at 1,816.
The meeting also allocated responsibilities among the leaders for the opening ceremony, closed-door sessions and the closing ceremony of the 6-day convention.
