KOHOLPUR, July 24: In Banke, the number of people applying for the citizenship certificate has been doubled. After the voter list with photo was introduced, the number of people making citizenship has increased.
“The number of applicants has climbed from 50 to 200 now”, said an official at the District Administrative Office.
Krishna Khadka, Chief District Officer (CDO), said that those who have reached 16 years of age and those who had not received their citizenship certificates in the past have been visiting the office these days. As the crowd has increased; we have hired four people to register those applying for certificates, added Khadka.
For the past some time, 1,200 people are acquiring citizenship certificates in a week.
