KATHMANDU, Aug 15: The melting of smuggled gold hidden inside brake shoes of motorcycles has been completed.
The Mint Division of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) said that the smuggled gold has been melted. It is said that the Mint Division of NRB will provide official information about the actual weight of the smuggled gold after a while. The process of melting the smuggled gold started at 10:30 AM today.

On Monday, the task to separate gold from the brake shoes was completed. The separated gold weighed 60 kg and 789 grams. It is estimated that the amount of smuggled gold may decrease further after the melting.
