ILAM, April 6: The Janamat Party registered its nominations first at the office of the Chief Electoral Officer in Ilam for the by-election being held in Ilam-2.
Prem Kumar Thamsuhang (also known as Premdeep), a candidate of the Janamat Party, was the first to register his nomination.

The Nepal Worker Peasants Party, which was not in the spotlight before the nominations, has registered its nomination for the second time. Shyam Bahadur Darji from Morang registered as the candidate for NWPP. Both the Janamat Party and NWPP did not contest in the previous House of Representatives elections in Ilam-2.
In the third instance, Dak Prasad Gautam has registered his nomination. This time, Gautam is running as an independent candidate. In the previous House of Representatives election, Gautam was nominated by the Nepali Congress in Ilam-2 and received 54 votes.
Milan Limbu is also preparing to register his candidacy from the Rastriya Swatantra Party shortly.
