No human casualties from electrocution: NEA

KATHMANDU, April 1: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has confirmed that there is no report of human casualties from electrocution so far in the storm hit districts.

KATHMANDU, April 1: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has confirmed that there is no report of human casualties from electrocution so far in the storm hit districts.


Issuing a press statement on Monday, the NEA has said that the regular electricity supply in the storm-hit area has been interrupted and the authority is trying to restore the regular supply at earliest.

According to the primary report, the wind has uprooted around 2000 electricity poles and numbers of transformers have been destroyed that has cost the NEA of around Rs 150 million.


The NEA has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and has informed that it has mobilized maximum resources to supply the electricity normally in the area.
