No chance of heavy rainfall for next three days: DHM

KATHMANDU, Aug 28: The continuous rainfall that has been taking place for a few days is decreasing, with improving weather conditions observed particularly in the western region, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM).

In the morning, Koshi province is undergoing a regular change in weather, while the remaining areas experience partial to moderate changes. Light rain persists in some places of the Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

There will be partial to general rain in the afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain at some places in the hilly areas and light rain at a few places in the rest of the provinces. There is a possibility of storm in one or two places of Terai in Koshi, Madhesh and Lumbini provinces.

Officials at the DHM have said that there will be partial to normal rains throughout the country at night. Light rain is likely in a few  places in Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini and Gandaki provinces.

Similarly, on Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be partial to normal rain across the country. Light to moderate rains are likely in some parts of the country, but heavy rainfall is unlikely.
