KHOTANG, Nov 8: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has urged all not to be guided by the alleged draft of the constitution amendment proposal so as to allow naturalized citizens to hold key state positions.
Dahal, who arrived here on Tuesday in course of monitoring of the national pride projects, said that the process of readying the amendment proposal has just started and claimed that the alleged draft was false.
The prime minister repeated that no understanding has been reached so far on natural citizenship and constitution amendment refuting the media reports as baseless.
“Don’t be guided by the alleged draft. Some media have been disseminating false information. Don’t follow them,” he said.
Dahal said that attempts are being made to amend the constitution on a national unity to make it widely acceptable.
