NIST, Grand Academy, TIA win in Akhil Cup

KATHMANDU, Dec 29: NIST, Grand Academy and TIA won their respective matches on Tuesday in the Akhil Cup Football Tournament being held at the Chyasal ground. [break]



NIST outplayed Balmiki Bidyapeeth 2-1. Sadan Lamichhane and Sandesh Lamichhane netted one each for the winning side in the 20th and 65th minutes.



Likewise, Grand hammered Geetamata 6-1. Samir netted a brace in the seventh and 30th minutes respectively while Raju Khadgi (fourth minute), Saurav Raj Magar (20th minute), Milan Magarati (62nd minute) and Rajesh Khadgi (64th minute) also scored for the team. Pasang Lama netted a consolation goal for Geetamata in the 10th minute.



TIA had a hard fought 1-0 win over Seabird College. Shyam Nepali scored the decider for TIA in the 62nd minute.
