Mountaineer Nirmal Purja has returned to Nepal this time with a new record after completing the final summit of the Seven Summits Challenge by scaling Indonesia's Carstensz Pyramid. Carstensz Pyramid, one of the Seven Summits of the world, is located in Papua Province, Indonesia. By standing atop Carstensz Pyramid, Purja has successfully completed his Seven Summits Challenge.

Purja also holds the unique world record of summiting all 14 of the world’s highest peaks-both with and without supplemental oxygen-in just five years, five months, and 12 days. His journey, which began on April 23, 2019, reached its remarkable completion on October 4, 2024.
