The DoR said that it is coordinating efforts with the security personnel to remove the landslide debris in those places where traffic movement has been halted due to landslides.

People traveling through those sections of roads are advised to consider avoiding their travel at night during the monsoon due to high risk of landslides and floods.

Similarly, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said that there is possibility of light to moderate rainfall coupled with thunderstorm and lightning in some places in provinces such as Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim and few places in remaining provinces within next 24 hours.

Heavy rainfall is predicted in one or two places in provinces such as Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim. The Department has urged one and all in those areas to remain highly alert and take necessary precautions in view of the risk of monsoon-induced disaster.
