NIC Foundation supports Bal Mandir

Kathmandu, June 9; NIC Foundation, the charity wing of NIC Bank and United Distributors Nepal, have handed over Rs 240,000 to Nepal Children´s Organization (Bal Mandir), Naxal.



A press release issued by the bank Monday said Ashok Agrawal, coordinator of NIC Foundation and Rajendra Agrawal, director of NIC Bank jointly handed over the amount to Reeta Shigh, chairperson of Nepal Children Organization. [break]



The amount will be used to cover food expenses of Rs 20,000 a month for a year, according to the statement. On the occasion, Agrawal, on his personal initiation, provided pillow and quilt covers to the children. Besides, NIC Bank staffers have collected fund of Rs. 54,000 to support the organization. Bal Mandir has 140 children, ranging from 2 months to 16 years old, under its supervision.
