KATHMANDU, June 21: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) is to investigate into the Sarlahi incident.

A cadre of Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), Kumar Poudel, died in an exchange of fire with police at Lalbandi on Thursday afternoon. Poudel was the Sarlahi district in-charge of the party.
The Commission will investigate into the incident to bring the truth out, reads a press release issued by the NHRC spokesperson Bed Prasad Bhattarai.
