KATHMANDU, June 16: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has introduced new Rs 10 banknotes into circulation.
According to a notice issued today by the central bank’s Banking Department and Currency Management Department, the new Rs 10 notes will come into use starting today (June 16), and they will have the same size and color as the previous ones.

The new notes feature an image of Mount Everest on the left side and a watermark of rhododendron on the right. The notes will bear the signature of former Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari, the central bank stated.
On the reverse side of the note, “Nepal Rastra Bank” is written in English at the top center. The central part features an image of a blackbuck (Krishnasar), and along the bottom border, “Rupees Ten” is written in English. The serial number and the year “2024 AD” are also printed along the bottom border.
