New ministers pledge to deliver

KATHMANDU, Nov 22: All six newly appointed full ministers and three state ministers assumed office on Thursday after taking the oath of office from President Bidya Bhandari and Prime Minister KP Oli respectively.

KATHMANDU, Nov 22: All six newly appointed full ministers and three state ministers assumed office on Thursday after taking the oath of office from President Bidya Bhandari and Prime Minister KP Oli respectively.


Social media was flooded all day with different reactions from various quarters following the cabinet reshuffle.

Many criticized the prime minister for dropping  Gokarna Bista, allegedly under pressure from  interest groups but praised him for appointing leftist thinker Ghanashyam Buusal. The prime minister came under flak from all quarters for making his cabinet less inclusive. Women in the 25-member cabinet have been reduced to two from four earlier.  


Meanwhile, the new ministers stated their commitment to result-oriented work and dedication to the people while assuming office  Thursday afternoon.
