DANG, Oct 23: A new-born baby died in a jeep accident this morning in Sunil Smriti Rural Municipality-4, Rolpa.
Police said the two-day-old son of Amrit Roka, a resident of Lungri Rural Municipality-1, Rolpa, died when the jeep (Lu 3 Cha 1656) crashed at around 5 AM today.

According to police, Amrit's wife, who had given birth at Pyuthan Hospital and their child were involved in the accident while returning home.
The District Police Office, Rolpa, reported that the infant, who sustained serious injuries, died at 6:40 AM during treatment at Sulichaur Primary Health Center.
The jeep driver, Kul Bahadur Bista, 35, also from Lungri Rural Municipality-1, sustained injuries to his right hand, and his condition is described as moderate.
