KATHMANDU, April 7: Gokarna Golf Club is set to hold the inaugural edition of the NESCAFE Gold Open Golf Tournament at its Gokarna Golf Resort from Saturday.
Organizing a press meet in Kathmandu on Thursday, Deepak Acharya, senior golf director of the resort, informed that the tournament will be played over 18 holes, on a stableford format with ¾ handicap allowance.

Nearly 100 golfers will take part in the event during which men, women, seniors (60-year and above) and juniors (17-year and below) will vie for the title of the tournament.
Four golfers from India will also take part in the tournament. Sanjay Chokhani, who imports Nescafe Gold in Nepal, said that he has been supporting the tournament after being fascinated by the golf resort and to promote the sport in the country.
