KATHMANDU, March 29: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) declined by 14.26 points to close at 2,527.58 points on Tuesday, posting a double-digit fall on the third successive day since trading started this week.
The secondary market that opened at 2,542.28 points rose up to 2,561.98 points before taking the downward trend in intraday trading. The trade volume also declined to as low as Rs 1.75 billion, down from Rs 2.54 billion on Monday.

Except for hotels and tourism, the rest of the 12 trading groups witnessed a fall in the average prices of their shares. The index of life insurance fell by 219.63 points while the other seven trading groups hit losses of double-digit points. The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also fell by 2.15 points.
Shivam Cement Limited had its shares transaction worth Rs 79.19 million, the largest among individual companies. NIBL Samriddhi Fund-2 was the top loser and Emerging Nepal Limited was the biggest gainer.
