KATHMANDU, May 10: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Tuesday increased by 44.16 points, marking a gain for the third consecutive day after a long time slump in the secondary market.
The market that opened at 2,268.84 points went to a straight rise throughout the trading hours to close finally at 2,313 points. The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chips shares also increased 7.67 points.

The entire 13 trading groups gained on Tuesday's transaction. Despite positive signs seen in the country’s only stock exchange, the turnover amount still stood as low as Rs 1.35 billion. On Monday, the transaction amount was Rs 1.39 billion.
Among individual companies, Ngadi Group Power Ltd had the largest transaction amount of Rs 99.80 million. The company also witnessed the largest percentage gain in its share price. NIBL Samriddhi Fund-2 was recorded as the topmost loser.
