KATHMANDU, Nov 12: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday declined by 11.24 points to close at 2,748.96 points.
The market opened at 2,760.21 points and reached the day’s high at 2,788.35 points within the first one hour of trading. The index then went to a straight fall and hit the day’s low at 2,742.97 points when the trading time was left for three minutes. The market managed to recover around five points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, lost 1.93 points. The daily turnover plummeted to Rs 7.85 billion from Rs 11.31 billion on Monday.
Among individual companies, 80 were gainers whereas 157 companies were recorded as the losers. Only three groups including finance, non-life insurance and trading were the gainers, with finance leading the groups with a gain of 40.35 points. Of the losers, life insurance suffered the largest decline of 61.59 points in its index.
Goodwill Finance Limited, with a single day turnover of its shares worth Rs 292.86 million, led the segment. The company was also registered for the topmost loser as its market price went down by 9.36 percent. Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Menchhiyam Hydropower Limited, however, gained the highest of 10 percent of their market values.
