The secondary market that opened at 1,992.62 points reached a maximum of 1,993.33 points before it went to a straight fall throughout the transaction hours in the intra trading day. The sensitive index that measures the performance of the blue chips companies also declined 13.03 points.
The entire 13 trading groups witnessed a fall in their average share prices. Life insurance shed 450.22 points, the largest of all.
Despite a notable fall in the Nepse index, the daily turnover amount increased to Rs 2.32 billion. Among individual companies, Himalayan Distillery Limited had the largest transaction of Rs 110.43 million. Grameen Bikas Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the top loser while 8.5% Sanima Debenture 2087 was the highest gainer.
