KATHMANDU, June 4: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday increased marginally by 6.22 points to close at 2,085.30 points.
The market opened at 2,079.07 points and reached as high as 2,091.57 points in the first four minutes. In the next 15 minutes, the index however fell to the day’s low at 2,078.6 points. The market then inclined successively and posted the day’s high mark at 2,092.71 points in the next two hours. The market shed around seven points in the remaining trading hours before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies inclined by 1.95 points. The daily turnover also increased slightly to 4.08 billion from Rs 4.0 billion on Monday.
Three groups including hydropower, ‘others’ and mutual funds were the losers, while hydropower lost the highest of 15.47 points. Of the 10 gainers, the trading group added the highest of 79.34 points.
Among individual companies, 125 were recorded as gainers whereas 114 were the losers.
CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 209.24 million. Global IME Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was the biggest gainer, while Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited lost the highest of 5.51 percent of its market value.
