KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday added 11.58 points to close at 2,588.35 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,576.76 points and escalated to day’s high at 2,643.38 points in the first five minutes. The index however posted a fall in the successive trading hours and reached the day’s low at 2,570.34 points in the last 35 minutes. The market recovered around 18 points in the remaining time period before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, increased 3.50 points. The daily turnover further decreased to Rs 5.09 billion from Rs 5.66 billion on Wednesday.
Among individual companies, 138 were recorded as gainers whereas 95 were the losers.
Five out of the 13 groups were the losers, with hotels and tourism index facing the highest loss of 39.57 points. Non-life insurance added the biggest of 62.06 points in its index.
CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited had the biggest turnover of its shares worth Rs 278.02 million. Three companies including Eastern Hydropower Limited, Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Upper Syange Hydropower Limited were the biggest gainers by adding 10 percent in their market values. Rawa Energy Development Limited lost 8.65 percent of its market value, the highest of all.
