KATHMANDU, Sept 21: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Wednesday increased by 11.19 points to close at 1,848.80 points.
The market opened at 1,837.60 points and reached the day’s high at 1,862.31 points while it plunged to the lowest value at 1,841.02 points within the first half an hour of the commencement of trading. The daily turnover stood at just Rs 721.25 million.
Nepse up for a fifth consecutive week
Except for mutual funds, the remaining 12 trading groups gained in their average share prices. The sensitive index that measures the performance of the blue chips companies also increased 2.01 points.
Nabil Bank had transactions of its shares worth Rs 33.81 million, the largest of all. Samling Power Company gained the biggest percent in its share price while Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was the top loser of the day.
