Nepathya US Tour 2024: grand audience presence at Toyota Music Factory in Dallas

DALLAS (TEXAS), Aug 27: Nepathya, Nepal's renowned folk-rock band, captivated audiences with a mesmerizing performance at the sold-out Toyota Music Factory in Dallas during their America Tour 2024 on Saturday. Meanwhile, everyone was amazed by the unexpected turnout at the Toyota Music Factory, which has a capacity of 4,000 spectators.

“Amazing!” exclaimed Ishu Pokharel in astonishment. “This is the first time I have ever seen so many Nepalis together under one roof in one place in America.” Ishu, a student at the University of Texas, came to America with her parents at the age of six and attended the concert with her mother on Saturday. “Not only my mother, but even my grandmother from my uncle’s house is a fan of Nepathya,” she said. “This has been the best experience I have had at a Nepali event so far.”

In line with the band’s policy of starting on time, Nepathya’s folk-rock melodies began to play at exactly 8:30 PM and continued for two hours straight. With the rhythm of the songs, the heads of the people in the large hall seemed to sway like waves. The concert featured new songs like “Koshi Ko Pani Yo Jindagani,” “Shirphool Shirai Ma,” “Nainital,” and “Pachasei Barshama,” along with Nepathya’s all-time hit songs such as “Chhekyo Chhekyo,” “Jomsomai Bazaarma,” “Resham,” and “Tal Ko Pani.” The entire hall sang along with vocalist Amrit Gurung for both new and old songs. Even after the concert ended, the excitement among the audience remained.

Roshanlal Shrestha, who traveled five hours by car from San Antonio just to watch the concert, shared his experience, “The music, the presentation of visuals that enhanced the atmosphere inside the hall, the effective use of every moment, the evergreen songs of Nepathya, and the heartfelt messages from the singer—all combined to create an incredible experience. The entire performance became an unforgettable and grand experience for me.”

There were many other attendees like Saurav Pandey, who came all the way from Washington, D.C., just to watch the concert. Saurav, who claimed that every penny spent to see Nepathya’s concerts was worth it, expressed his intention to attend the upcoming Nepathya concert in Maryland in a few days.

At the concert, lead vocalist Amrit was accompanied by Dhruv Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal, and Dineshraj Regmi on keyboard.

Following the triumphant completion of their first four American concerts including Colorado, Ohio, Nepathya is set to return to New York for their fifth performance. The band will take the stage at Terminal 5 on 56th Street in Manhattan on August 30, marking their first appearance in the city in eight years. With a capacity of 3,000, Terminal 5 will host Nepathya's debut at this venue. The band is committed to delivering another memorable evening for New York's Nepali audience, reads a statement. After their New York concert, Nepathya will head to Maryland and wrap up their tour in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, marking the end of their year's performances.
