KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Bringing their Japan tour series to a close, renowned folk rock band Nepathya delivered their last performance in Namba Hatch Auditorium, Osaka on Thursday. Similar to their earlier shows in Tokyo and Fukuoka, the performance was supported by a large audience in Osaka.
Upon taking the stage, the Nepathya team led by vocalist Amrit Gurung kicked off the evening with the songs 'Koshiko Paani’ and ‘Yo Zindagani'.
Nepathya to perform in western Australia
"We have never recorded a gathering of more than six hundred Nepalis at one place till now,” says Sabin Thakali, one of the organizers. He added, "The presence of 1,700 spectators in a single concert to watch Nepathya perform is the largest gathering of Nepalis ever witnessed here."
Amrit Gurung, engaging with the audience throughout the program, encouraged all attendees to explore Nepal's mountains and landscapes upon their return and emphasized the importance of preserving the Nepali language and culture within their homes. Prior to performing 'Yo Zindagani', he highlighted Nepal's traditional charitable nature.
With the conclusion of their Japan tour, the 14-member Nepathya team is now preparing to return to Nepal. This year's Nepathya Japan series carried forward the theme of 'Music for Humanity,' aiming to promote a message of humanity.
