Nepalis toll in Maghalaya hits 19

SILGUDI, May 27:  The number of Nepali-speakers killed by ethnic Khasi people in Meghalaya in India has reached 19.



The numbers of those killed increased after two bodies of Nepalis were found on Wednesday.



The Khasi people have already killed 17 Nepali-speakers. According to Rohit Gautam, a journalist based in Assam, two bodies of Nepalis were found in the jungle, according to Assam-based journalist Rohit Gautam. Though the numbers of those killed has increased, Meghalaya state government remains tight-lipped about the incident.



The number of those returning from Meghalaya to Nepal has been increasing every day.



On Thursday alone, 23 Nepalis returned to Nepal.
