Nepali wins place in Horlicks Wiz Team South Asia

KATHMANDU, Nov 18: Parth Chhetri of Ideal Model School won a place in the Horlicks Wiz Team South Asia 2009, held in Bangalore, India, on November 14. Parth was among the top 10 finalists of Horlicks WizKids Nepal 2009 who got the opportunity to be a part of the South Asian Finals of Horlicks Wiz Teams 2009 in Bangalore through a wild card entry -- by submitting a project report.



The Nepal winners of Horlicks WizKids 2009 – Deepti Timilsina of Ideal Model School and Suruchi Sharma of Modern Indian School along with -Parth - got the platform to showcase their talents together with city winners from various parts of India and Sri Lanka at the event. The grand finale comprised of project presentations, interviews, group discussions, games, psychometric tests and other evaluation methods to judge their character and competence.



Out of 68 city-level finalists from different countries, four students – Parth (Nepal), Ganesh (Chennai), Aditi (Chandigarh) & Anvita (Pune) -- emerged victorious to form the South Asian Horlicks Wiz Team 2009. These winners will get the opportunity to visit Spain and Portugal where they will interact with reputed NGOs.



Horlicks Wiz Team Nepal 2009 was held in Kathmandu on September 4, where more than 1,500 students from 50 schools across the Kathmandu Valley participated.
