Nepali swimming team bags bronze

KATHMANDU, Oct 24: Nepali swimming team bagged a bronze medal in the 18-year-old plus relay event of the South Asian Aquatic Championship held in Sri Lanka.

KATHMANDU, Oct 24: Nepali swimming team bagged a bronze medal in the 18-year-old plus relay event of the South Asian Aquatic Championship held in Sri Lanka. 



The swimming team comprising of Nitesh Manandhar, Debesh Manandhar, Anubhav Subba and Subham Shrestha clocked 4 minute 10.03 second to win bronze in the male's 100 X4 m freestyle relay event according to the Nepal Swimming Association's President Ashok Bajracharya. 



Similarly, Subham Shrestha has set national record in the 200m breaststroke event clocking 2 minute 42.62 second at the same tournament, informed Nepali swimming team's coach Ongden Lama.



Earlier, Sirish Gurung held the national record in the event with the timing of 2 minute 42.72 second.
