Nepali film ‘Premi’ hitting Kathmandu screens tomorrow

KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Nepali film ‘Premi’ is hitting screens in Kathmandu from Friday.

The film based on a love story, is directed by Bibek Thapa. Thapa himself had penned down the script of the movie.

Kapil Gaire, Srijana Dhakal, Nishant Pandey, Kashinath Panthi and Pashupati Nepal among others have acted in the film jointly produced by Krishna Shree Kafle and Kashinath Panthi.

“We named the film Premi (translated as lover) as the movie is based on a love story,” said Kafle, “We hope that the film will entertain the audiences fully.”

He added that new artists were selected through auditions as they believe that new faces too should get a change for their debut in Nepali film industry.

The film will release outside the Valley from December 30.

Bikash Chaudhary has given music to the movie that was shot in the areas around Butwal by Yam Ale. Gopal Pariyar is the fight director of the movie.

Kafle, who had worked as a production manager in Bollywood, had earlier produced a movie named Udhum.
