KATHMANDU, Oct 29 : The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) is hosting its central working committee (CWC) meeting on November 6. Issuing a statement, the NC said that the upcoming meeting will be convened next Friday at its central office, BP Smriti Bhawan, in Sanepa, Lalitpur.
According to the statement, the upcoming central committee meeting is scheduled to discuss the preparations for the 14th General Convention of the party. The 14th General Convention of Nepali Congress that is expected to elect a new leadership of the party has been scheduled for February 21-22 next year in Kathmandu.
NC calls central committee meeting after a year
However, some leaders blame the NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba for pushing for the postponement of the general convention citing the risk of COVID-19, an accusation that other leaders close to Deuba faction deny.
