Kathmandu defeated Region No 4 Bhairahawa by two wickets at the TU Cricket Ground while Nepalgunj beat Region No 6 Baitadi by seven wickets. [break]
Batting first, Bhairahawa put up 94 runs in limited 20 overs losing seven wickets. As they got 31 runs in extras and Arati Bidari as well as Indu Barma scored 15 runs each, Bhairahawa set up a 95-run target for Kathmandu.
In reply, captain Neera Rajopadhyaya struck 30 runs to anchor Kathmandu´s innings and guide them to a 2-wicket victory in 19.2 overs. Rajopadhyaya was adjudged woman-of-the-match.
Likewise, Baitadi set a small target of 63 runs for Nepalgunj, which the latter achieved in 14 overs at the loss of three wickets.
Baitadi were all out with one over to bowl as their top-four batswomen were out for duck. Rekha Rawal topscored for the side with eight runs. However, they reached the 63-run mark as Nepalgunj gave away 33 extra runs. Woman-of-the-match Sita Rana Magar took four wickets for Nepalgunj.
Nepalgunj easily chased the target as Manisha Rawal scored 18 and Mamata Thapa scored 13 runs.
