On the occasion, Director General Uzumcu appreciated Nepal for successfully hosting regional conference of OPCW in Kathmandu in December, 2012. [break]The envoy expressed commitment of Nepal to actively participate in all activities of the OPCW, as per a statement issued by the Embassy of Nepal in Brussels.
The envoy also submitted his credentials to Registrar of International Court of Justice Philippe de Couvreur on the same day. During the meeting, envoy Pokharel had discussed about Nepal government´s proposal to install a statue of Lord Buddha, the messenger of peace, in an ´appropriate place´ at the ICJ premises, said the statement.
Likewise, the envoy handed over his credential to Managing Director of Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) Parvinder Singh in a meeting held at CFC Office on the same day.
The meeting dwelt on expanding and marketing Nepali products through the CFC projects, according to the statement.
