The country has not got the prize money even when the tie-sheet for the fifth edition of the championship has been announced, bemoaned Kiran Rai, spokesman for All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).

"We will not participate in the next championship if we are not given the prize that we won last time," Rai said in protest.

That was the international championship which the national football team won after the gap of 23 years.

Bangladesh Football Federation has been organizing the championship in memory of Bangladesh's father of the nation, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The fifth edition of the championship will be held in Dhaka of Bangladesh from October 1 to 27.

Nepal is placed in Group 'A' of the championship as per the tie-sheet announced on Saturday. Palestine and Tajikistan are also in Group A. The hosts Bangladesh, Laos and Philippines are in Group 'B'. RSS
