This is the second phase of the previous RAP (2001-2008), which constructed rural roads in the same seven districts and linked Khotang, Bhojpur and Sankhuwasabha districts in the northern part of Nepal, with national road network, according to Monday´s report from Nepal´s state-run newspaper The Rising Nepal.
The programme managed by WSPimc, a UK based consultant, who will implement construction of total 365-km new road and maintenance of total 357-km RAP district roads (previous constructed by the programme) with the budget of 1.82 billion Nepali rupees (around 23 million U.S. dollars).
The British government has supported the programme through the Department for International Development (DFID).
