Nepal, Timor to collaborate for development

KATHMANDU, Sept 28: Nepal and East Timor have agreed to collaborate for development. The two sides built such understanding when a visiting delegation of East Timor´s finance ministry met with Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun on Thursday.



As East Timor has successfully come out of conflict, FM Pun expressed confidence over rapid development of the South East Asian country. [break]



“We too have just come out of conflict and are trying hard to catch a thread of higher economic growth and development,” said Pun.



“East Timor too emerged from similar situation. So, our solidarity and good wishes are with you,” Pun added, expressing Nepal´s willingness to expand trade and economic ties between the two countries.



The visiting delegation too expressed similar view and also showed interest to share East Timor experiences on conflict, conflict resolution and post conflict endeavors with Nepal.
