Nepal thrash B’desh 4-1

KATHMANDU, Aug 27: Nepal U-15 team has defeated defending champion Bangladesh by 4-1 goals in the ongoing SAFF U-15 Football Championship.


In the match played on Tuesday at Kalyani Stadium in India, Krishan Adhikari Yadav scored two goals while two other goals were added by Sugan Jimi and Pradeep Lamsal. The only consolation goal for Bangaladesh came from Miya in the second half.

By this win, Nepal has kept the momentum alive for the finals of the championship. 


Now, Nepal is following India in the scoreboard with 3 points as equal to Bangladesh.


Nepal will play its last match against Bhutan on Thursday. 


The top-two teams will advance to the finals of the tournament in which Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and Bhutan including Nepal have been participating.
