KATHMANDU, Dec 19: Nepal Telecom has urged everyone to stay alert regarding various rumors being spread on social media.
Stating that rumors have been spread using Nepal Telecom's official logo, claiming arrangements of up to Rs. 5,000 in cash and gifts on the occasion of Christmas and English New Year, Nepal Telecom has urged everyone to stay alert.

"We have found that false information is being disseminated through various Facebook groups, Messenger, and other social media platforms, and we sincerely request everyone to stay alert regarding this," Nepal Telecom stated in a notice issued on Wednesday.
Telecom has also urged people to consider only the information available on its official social media platforms, including Facebook and X with a blue tick, as authentic.
