KATHMANDU, Aug 13: The Kamala River at Sindhuli has exceeded safety levels, according to a flood alert issued by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said. “Settlements on the gorge of Tawa River are urged to stay on high alert.”
According to the forecast, Nepal is likely to expect three days of rain in the Chure region. “Low-lying settlements throughout Chure region are likely to be inundated as all rivers and rivulets are expected to swell,” the alert said.

The Kamala, Kankai, Bagmati River along with others is likely to exceed safety levels. While the Koshi River is likely to swell, it will stay below safety levels. Likewise, landslides are expected in hilly regions.
