“There will be no minister from our party taking oath of office along with Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal,” said NC leader Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat. NC leaders decided to focus on CMP and high-level political mechanism before joining the government.

  • Only two UML ministers to accompany PM Nepal

  • NC and MPRF to send names later, after CPM is finalized

The oath-taking ceremony is taking place at 10:45 Monday at the President’s Office. Only two ministers representing CPN-UML will accompany Nepal during the swearing-in ceremony.

Nepal had requested NC president Koirala and Madhesi people’s Rights Forum Chairman Upendra Yadav to send at least one or two names in the cabinet.

“We told the prime minister that we are yet to hold discussion about name in the party and know about structure of the government,” MPRF Co-Chairman JP Gupta told myrepublica.com.

In response, Nepal said he would take oath Monday along with two ministers from UML and consult with other parties about the structure of the government and other related issues.
