Nepal sees the highest single day recovery of 2,287 COVID-19 patients

Six more die of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours

KATHMANDU, Sept 8: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Tuesday confirmed six more COVID-19 related deaths as the country recorded the single highest recovery of COVID-19 patients in the past 24 hours. A total of 2,287 COVID-19 patients recovered successfully in the past 24 hours. 

According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, Spokesperson for the MoHP, those succumbing to death due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours include one female and five males. The deceased female is from Kathmandu district. Of the five males succumbed to COVID-19, two are from Parsa and one each  from Sunsari, Kathmandu and Kapilvastu district.

Similarly, as many as 2,287 people, who had earlier tested positive for the virus, have recovered successfully and returned home on Tuesday. As of Tuesday afternoon, a total of 32,964 COVID-19 patients have recovered successfully.

Spokesperson Gautam said a total of 23 COVID-19 patients are currently undergoing treatment with ventilator support and 144 others are being treated in Intensive Care Units (ICUs) of various hospitals across the country.
