KATHMANDU, Feb13: Nepal's women football team secured a 3-0 victory against Iran in its last league match in the Hero Gold Cup at Bhuveneshwor, India today. Despite the win, Nepal will have to wait for the results of the game between Myanmar and India to secure its place in the finals.

Anita Basnet scored the first goal for Nepal in the 41st minute. Two more goals came from the boots of Sabitri Bhandari in the 79 and 89th minute.
Nepal had earlier lost with Myanmar but bounced back to secure two consecutive wins.
